Have you ever found you have more eggs than you can use and you don't want them to ruin?  You can whisk them all together thoroughly in a pourable container.  Pour into ice trays!  Each "cube" is approximately one egg.  When you need eggs, just pop as many as you need out of the ice tray and let them thaw.  Use them to scramble, make egg sandwiches, or use in cooking or baking.

This is a great way to have homemade biscuits on hand, ready to bake at any time.  On a day when you have a little extra time, make up several batches of homemade biscuits.  Place the unbaked biscuits on a cookie sheet, with about 1/4" between each biscuit.  Place the cookie sheet in the freezer.  When the biscuits are frozen, transfer them in batches of 6, 10, 12, whatever you need for your family, into zip-lock baggies and place the bags in the freezer.  When you need biscuits, just take them out of the bag, put them on a sprayed cookie sheet, and bake at 450 degrees F for about 20 minutes.

If you are the cook in the home and you also work all week, shortcuts for preparing family meals always come in handy! Here are some time-saving tips for those dishes that have green pepper and/or onions in them. Chili, spaghetti, meatloaf, etc. Dice as many green peppers as you want, spread them in a single layer on a cookie sheet and freeze them. When they are frozen, scoop them by one cup portions into plain individual sandwich baggies, assuming you will need about one cup for whatever food you are preparing. Fold each Baggie into a roll and place them in a stack in a gallon ziplock bag and store in the freezer. When you are preparing your meal, take out one of the sandwich baggies and dump in the frozen green peppers. They thaw as they cook and you've saved 10 to 15 minutes. I do this with onions, also!

When the supermarket has a good sale on ground beef, stock up! This is another time-saving tip for rustling up quick meals. Brown all your ground beef, let it completely drain and cool, and store in ziplock baggies. Freeze them and you'll have your ground beef ready for sloppy joes, or to use in any dish that calls for browned ground beef.

I buy bacon in bulk. This not only saves money, but I use it later to save time in cooking. I bring it home, and separate about 2/3 of it into meal-size portions for breakfast and freeze it in ziplock baggies. I fry up the rest of it until it's crispy. I let it cool, crumble it and store it in zip locks in the freezer in dish-size portions for cooking. You can find bacon in boxes of different sizes from 5 to 10 pounds, or individual packages on sale.

Spices and seasonings can be very expensive. So I increased my stock by buying a spice I didn't already have every time I went to the grocery store. I did this until I have nearly every spice you can imagine and they last a long time. Then it's easy and cheaper to replenish when one runs out.

At fresh food shops offer a vacuum packing option. Would be really useful to keep food fresher longer.

If you microwave the garlic cloves for 10 secs you can peel them a lot quicker. They'll instantly pop out of their skin.
