Best chocolate chip cookies ever. Fascinating story/myth behind it too.

French Toast Grilled Cheese Cleo and I both love French Toast and also Grilled Cheese. So I place the cheese between two slices of bread, dip the entire sandwich into a salted and peppered beaten egg mixture, and brown them in butter. Cleo eats his just like that, because he doesn't like sweets. I sometimes drown mine in maple syrup. I like a little bread of some kind with my syrup. :-)

When it comes to cooking, I'm all for quick and easy preparation. So I use my oven a lot! This is one idea for quickly throwing something together and popping it in the oven. In a deep baking dish or pan, I whisk together two 26-oz cans of condensed cream of chicken or mushroom soup mixed with two cans water and one packet French onion soup mix for flavoring. While I heat the soup in a 350 degree oven, I brown ground beef and onions. While the beef mixture is draining, I whisk the warm soup well until creamy and dump in a bag of uncooked egg noodles. Stir till all the noodles are covered with soup. I pop this into the oven and leave it for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes, I stir the noodles again and then stir in the ground beef mixture. I cover it all with a thick layer of mozzarella, cheddar or both and return to the oven to melt for 15 minutes. You can also add a top layer of bread crumbs mixed in melted butter and bake until the cheese is melted and the crumb mixture browns. This is an absolutely delicious and filling one-dish meal!

Homemade Deep Dish Pizza Prepare pre-packaged pizza dough mix and spread in a deep pan. I use a roasting pan. I cover the dough with lots of pizza sauce. I then add layers, completely covering the layer below with: 1 layer chopped or slivered onions, 1 layer chopped or slivered green peppers, 1 layer browned and crumbled breakfast or Italian sausage, 1 layer crumbled browned and drained bacon, 1 layer mushroom pieces, 1 layer black olive slices, 1 layer pepperoni, 1 layer chopped ham, etc. you can use any toppings you like. Bake at 400 degrees for 30 minutes. Remove from oven and top with a thick layer of mozzarella, cheddar, or a mixture of both and return to oven till cheese melts. Waiting until the end to add the cheese prevents it from browning and hardening. Let cool 5 to 10 minutes before serving. Eat with forks.

Pizza Lasagna Spread enough pizza sauce in bottom of deep baking pan. I use a roasting pan. Layer in the following order: - cooked lasagna noodles or widely sliced flour tortilla pieces - generous layer of pizza sauce - diced or slivered onions - diced or slivered green pepper - mushroom pieces - sliced black olives - browned and drained Italian or breakfast sausage - pepperoni - generous layer of mozzarella cheese Repeat layers in the order above. Of course toppings may be of your choice. Cover with aluminum foil and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Remove from oven, remove tin foil, cool 10 minutes and cut into square pieces to serve.

Pizza Burgers: You will need: Hoagie buns, Ground beef, Crumbled Italian sausage, Oregano or Italian seasoning, Pepperoni, Pizza sauce, Your favorite pizza toppings - finely diced ( onions, green peppers, mushrooms, black olives, etc.), Mozzarella cheese. Mix: Ground beef and Italian sausage together, half of each. If the Italian sausage is encased, remove the casing and crumble before mixing with ground beef. Add 1/2 cup pizza sauce. Add a little Italian seasoning or oregano and a beaten egg. Mix well and form into hoagie shaped patties. Make patties larger than a hoagie bun to allow for shrinkage. Fry patties until cooked through and browned. Just before the patties are done, top with pepperoni slices and mozzarella cheese and continue frying until cheese is melted. Place each patty on bottom half of hoagie bun. While your pizza burgers are frying, make a thick mixture of pizza sauce and diced green peppers, diced onions, mushroom pieces, diced black olives or any diced pizza topping you like. Spread sauce mixture on the top bun and add to top of the burger on the bottom bun. This is my own recipe and my family devours them. Scrumptious!

Delicious Sandwich Topping! This is my friend Cindy's own recipe for a delicious sandwich topping. Tear lettuce into small pieces, not too small. In a bowl, mix lettuce, some chopped onion, and mayonnaise (not the salad dressing type.). Mix until all lettuce is covered in mayonnaise and diced onions are distributed well. Refrigerate. Lettuce will wilt, so it takes quite a lot to make enough for several sandwiches. This is delicious to use on hamburgers, fried chuck wagon patties and we can't eat fried chicken patty sandwiches without it! We love it best on chicken patties.

The best chuck wagon sandwich ever!! My best friend Cindy has the best imagination when it comes to creating her own concoctions for food! This is another of her inventions. In a small skillet, sauté 1/2" slivers of green pepper and thick onion slices separated into rings. In a larger skillet, fry chuck wagon patties. When all are done, place one chuck wagon patty on a bun, add a slice of cheese, and top with another chuck wagon patty. Cover with sautéed onions and green peppers and add the top bun. You will be amazed at how delicious these sandwiches are! Once you've tried them, you will crave them. And very filling. Betcha can eat only one! They're a little messy but that only makes them more delicious! These are best served on onion buns.
